STEFAN ZHELYAZKOV WAS RE-ELECTED AS CHAIRMAN OF BATT BY AN ABSOLUTE MAJORITY

Stefan Zhelyazkov, who was a Chairman of the Bulgarian Association for Trenchless Technologies /BATT/, was re-elected for a new four-year mandate by an absolute majority during the Annual General Assembly of BATT that was held yesterday in Sofia. For the second time the members of the Association passed their vote for confidence to Mr. Zhelyazkov, as they mentioned that he is the most suitable for this position, due to his special merits for the popularization of trenchless technologies in Bulgaria as well as abroad. From the founding of BATT in 1997 up to now, Mr. Zhelyazkov has successfully represented the activity of the Association, has established many contacts with other associations for trenchless technologies and as a result BATT is the first affiliated member of International Society for Trenchless Technologies /ISTT/ on the Balkan Peninsula.     

 

Stefan Zhelyazkov is Executive Director of Stroitelna Mehanizatsia AD Kazanlak, member of the Board of Directors of International Society for Trenchless Technologies /ISTT/, member of the Managing Board of the Bulgarian Water Association and member of the Managing Board of the Bulgarian Construction Chamber. He also has a report published in the issue of the United Nations University “Capacity Development for Drinking Water Loss Reduction: Challenges and Experiences” issued in 2011.
